Mama Anita’s Farm is a third-generation farm rooted in love, tradition, and community—dedicated to the memory of Mama Anita and the generations of farmers who came before her.
Located on Eleuthera, Bahamas, just behind Office General on the Queen’s Highway, the farm was born from a simple belief passed down through generations: nothing should be wasted, and every seed deserves a chance to grow.
That belief was instilled in Juanita Pinder by her grandparents and her mother, all of whom were farmers. From an early age, she learned the value of working the land, respecting nature, and using what you have wisely. Those lessons became the foundation of Mama Anita’s Farm and continue to guide everything that grows here today.

While the roots of the farm run deep, Mama Anita’s Farm truly took shape during the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when fresh produce, herbs, and basic food items became scarce across the island. Faced with uncertainty, Juanita poured her heart into building something lasting for her community.
What began as a personal commitment grew into a fully functioning farm, complete with a 600-gallon rainwater tank, gutter system, irrigation lines, dedicated garden areas, and seedlings carefully nurtured from the soil up. The goal was simple but powerful: to provide the people of Eleuthera with access to fresh, organically grown produce, herbs, fruits, vegetables, and farm-made products—especially when they were hardest to find. That commitment continues today.
Mama Anita’s Farm is not just a place where food is grown—it’s a place where values are shared. Juanita believes every seed should be planted, not thrown away, and she passes that lesson on to children and families whenever she can. The farm has become a living classroom, quietly teaching respect for the land, patience, and self-sufficiency.
In addition to running the farm, Juanita is the owner of Office General and an officer of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera. She is actively involved in the Cancer Society of Eleuthera and is known throughout the community for stepping in wherever help is needed. Whether it’s supporting local events, creating beautiful displays for fundraisers, or lending her time and resources to others, Juanita gives fully to everything she does.

Mama Anita’s Farm exists for the people of Eleuthera. It is a reflection of resilience, heritage, and the belief that caring for the land is one way of caring for each other.
What grows here is more than food—it’s connection, memory, and hope for generations to come.
